The 111th Salmon Arm Fair will be held September 5, 6, 7, 2008 on the Salmon Arm Fairgrounds, located in downtown Salmon Arm.

This popular, friendly, small-town fair is attended by thousands of people from throughout the Shuswap and outlying regions. Visitors and exhibitors from other British Columbia communities as well as those from outside the province and other parts of the world are charmed by the Fair's unique atmosphere.

Features of the Fair include:

Exhibits range from baking, crafts, fruits, vegetables and flowers, to animals such as llamas, cattle, horses, sheep and goats.

Horses are shown throughout the weekend, with Pony Driving, Horse Driving, Heavy Horse Pull, Miniature Horse Show, and Log Skidding.

4-H Clubs form an integral part of the Salmon Arm Fair, with dairy, goat, and beef projects.

Memory Lane is a unique and educational section of the Fair, featuring many displays and interactive exhibits portraying life in the early part of the 1900's.

There are many opportunities for children to participate in the Salmon Arm Fair. Many classes are specially designed with children in mind, and they are always welcome to enter the immensely popular Mutt Show and Pet Parade. Children's entertainers and the midway are on the grounds throughout the weekend.

The Salmon Arm Fair Parade is enormous! Winding its way through downtown Salmon Arm on Saturday morning, it features hundreds of floats and participants, including marching bands, floats, llamas, horses, bicycles, dancers and vintage cars.

To make the Fair weekend complete, commercial exhibitors demonstrate their products both inside the arena and on the grounds; a full concession area features a large variety of foods; and a full slate of local entertainers maintain the festive air.

The Salmon Arm Fair volunteers would love to see everyone come out for a great time at the Fair.
